In any case, the goal does not justify the means, since the path to the desired is no less important than that for which a person overcomes it. If he goes along a curve path, his good goal will also curve, and in its place will be a completely different result. It is easy to confirm my point of view with examples from Russian literature.
In Dostoevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment, the hero set himself a noble and wonderful goal: to help the poor, people shrouded in a web of poverty. He himself was like that, so he knew what they needed: the release from the networks of those who use the unfortunate poor. Alena Ivanovna, an elderly woman who performed the functions of today's pawnshop, was chosen as a victim. Rodion decided that such "spiders" on earth did not belong, and killed her, and at the same time her pregnant sister Lizaveta, who did not arrive on time. At that very moment, there was no trace of the nobility of the task, because the offender almost lost his mind on what he had done and, of course, helped no one. Inhuman methods ruined his impulse in the bud, leaving only the broken and broken fate of the failed superman.
In Pushkin’s work “The Queen of Spades”, the hero decided to break into people and save capital. He zealously saved, ignoring social entertainments, but heard from Tomsky that the elderly countess owns the secret of three cards. Then Hermann did everything to find out the secret. At first he charmed and deceived the pupil of the countess, then he frightened the old woman herself to death. The man even broke the promise made to the ghost in exchange for the coveted combination of cards. He did not marry Lisa, but he hastened to play big. As a result, unworthy funds did not lead to the desired goal. The young man lost everything and lost his mind.
Thus, changing means, a person changes the goal. The curve path does not fit good intent: you cannot help people by killing them, you cannot get rich by putting everything at stake. This is the law of life, and it’s a pity that some people forget about it in pursuit of a dream that turns into a tragedy.
