(375 words) In Goncharov’s novel “Oblomov”, the love lines of the heroes are clearly revealed. One of them is the relationship of Olga Ilyinskaya and the main character. Why didn’t they succeed in creating common happiness?
Recall Oblomov's lifestyle: inactivity and laziness stemming from childhood. He is not able to resist himself, so the childhood friend Andrei Shtolts comes to the rescue, who decides to radically change the life of his friend. He introduces him to Olga Ilyinskaya, a smart girl, thinking and moderately proud, but inclined to romanticize life. Her singing captivates Oblomov, he falls in love and seems to begin to live.
What does Olga see in him? Learning him closer, she realizes that she could be some kind of salvation for the poor hero. Olga enjoys the role of a "guiding star", she likes to lead and point the way. Now, for the implementation of noble thoughts in her life, a person appears who is lost in the search for the meaning of existence. Oblomov for her is a great chance to put an experiment and pass the test of duty.
The hero loves simply and sincerely, cherishing dreams of a quiet life with a future family. Thanks to his feeling, the hero comes to life, begins to behave more actively, tries to do at least some business. However, over time, he begins to feel the insincerity of their relationship with Olga. She loves that Oblomov, who will only be transformed if she fulfills her “great mission”. It becomes increasingly difficult for the hero to fight with himself for happiness with Olga, because his simplicity runs counter to the goals of his beloved. Finally, everyone ruins everyday problems. Olga confesses to Oblomov and herself that she loves her noble dream, and not his one, and breaks off relations. Oblomov is not trying to benefit from this bad experience and is returning to the old way.
You should not blame Oblomov for everything with his weaknesses, shortcomings and the desire for a carefree life. Despite the emptiness of life, he retains moral values and true ideas about happiness. Oblomov wishes love selfless and sincere, which love should be. Olga pursues certain personal goals. In moments, Olga seems to be selfish, who cares not so much for high feelings as for the fulfillment of her dreams, aimed at enhancing self-esteem.
Based on the analysis, a tragic ending was inevitable. Each saw in each other who he was not. At the same time, everyone lacked something for completeness and integrity, Oblomov - activity, Olga - simplicity. Perhaps they could complement each other, but the heroes did not relate to the concepts of love, and therefore their relationship was doomed.
