(346 words) The works of two brilliant writers Turgenev and Bunin are an example of real classical literature. Writers show the character and soul of a Russian person with the grace of masters. But it is especially curious to trace what a woman appears in their prose, what is she like?
Female images of Turgenev embody moral girls who, for the sake of love, are ready to go on feats. One of the main manifestations of their character is honesty. Some heroines may seem weak in appearance, but at the same time spiritually they are strong. For example, the heroine of Asya is a dreamer, timid, wayward, and sincerely childish. For these virtues, she was rejected by her love, despite the reciprocity of feelings. The man did not understand her immediacy and openness, he was afraid of her ardor, and then regretted it. But the heroines of Turgenev never return to their former love. The next lady, Elena Stakhova, from the work “On the Eve” is a strong girl, ready to go on feats not only for her beloved, but also for the sake of society. The work speaks of mutual, sincere love, which is intertwined with a common goal, one vocation for two. She is ready to follow Insarov and his idea, no matter what it costs her. This is a bold, selfless and faithful companion.
Female images of Bunin are imbued with tenderness, drama. They are not afraid of trials and, contrary to circumstances, love their chosen one until the end of their days. They do not have Turgenev's pride, but there is passion, sometimes reaching sinfulness. For example, the heroine from the work “Dark Alleles” is an unusually strong lady who has withstood many trials. After going through years of loneliness and disappointment, she did not ruin the feeling of love in herself. It is noteworthy that she did not marry because she did not want to deceive a good man. Such love, as for Nikolai, who deceived her, she can no longer experience for anyone. Another example is described in the story “Easy Breathing”. Olya generously gives away her attention to men, but in her actions there is so much naive female charm that they can’t be condemned. This young charming woman has not yet decided what she wants, but a jealous and evil man selfishly deprives her life only because she refuses to become his wife.
Bunin and Turgenev in their works described strong, brave and devoted women. But Ivan Alekseevich emphasized the sensuality and passion of female nature, and Ivan Sergeyevich showed pride and waywardness of the weaker sex.
